History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Personality: He is a Tanner first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Ortegar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His first spouse was a Carpenter, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He has worked as a Tanner like his father before him.
