Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. This search led him directly into Courier work with an outfit from a few towns over. Courier work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He's also a talented Marshal, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it
