History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature axe.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
