History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born in the north. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Halfling conditions. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.
