History: He was born in a small desert village. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Jade alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother
