History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His parents were killed by giants in a raid when he was still a young child. The giants captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of giants; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it

History: Gifted from a young age, Kerkad studied abroad. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed.
