History: Zephan was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, gnolls burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying east to reunite his family. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it
