History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Halander was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
