History: Born in the north to a Merchant, Varis learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. In the meantime he has taken over work as a Merchant and occasionally as a mercenary.

The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Shag took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up hand crossbow and armor he uses now. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
