Description: He wears a green shirt with thin violet vertical stripes and yellow pants. He is physically well-built. His blue hair is singed and shortened. His silver eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.
Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. He is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.
History: Nirgel hails from a village terrorized by illithids. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it; and someone believes him a fraud

Description: This man is tall and muscular. He wears rags and sports a simple walking cane. His fur is red and very short. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines blue.
Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.
History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and retire the richest man in the south

Description: A 5'3" eastern man, he wears a simple burlap shirt and baggy pants. He conceals his crossbow with his veritable burlap sack of a shirt. He has dyed his greying white hair a little too much giving a sharp white color. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.
Personality: Balam wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Expert, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Balam is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.
History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He now owns his own business.
Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and balancing his hectic life and new laborer responsibilities is difficult

Description: Relatively heavier built than your average man, he is not imposing. He wears tattered old clothes. He has a chestnut handlebar mustache and slicked back chestnut hair. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are blue.
Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.
History: He is a Slaad in disguise. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature lance.
Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Human artifacts is his passion; and he wants to meet his childhood hero
