History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Sage born in the past three hundred years. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Hadarai was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg.
