Description: The dark-skinned man stands 5'10" and wears dull blue sweaters, loose yellow pants, and alligator leather shoes. Beneath his sweater he keeps a concealed kukri, just in case. His white hair is braided into rings. He wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into his face.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Mason. He tends to his Mason job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He is always in debt, since he spends his money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and to prove his worth to the world

Personality: Naal hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. He is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he desires power and/or immortality

Description: Wearing a closed helm and plate, one would not know what he was had he not made sure his armor was more form fitting than normal. Outside of the suit he wears a green broad hat and green clothes. He has wavy silver hair. His skin is flawless and his hazel eyes scan people very quickly.

Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his mother.

History: Scrag was born with his mother's beautiful face. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting dire rats, the young Scrag began to lead the lost caravan. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it
