History: Born to a Cartwright, his mother struggled to pay the bills. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: He was born at the edge of vast plains. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Gildmak alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it; and he wants revenge against goblins
