Description: This northern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He wears loose pants and a collared shirt complete with sweater beneath his coat. His hair is golden and curly. His face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Howard embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He is stubborn though. He always likes to keep a trick up his sleeve. He likes to fight dirty and will kick and punch below the belt if he feels he even has a chance of losing.

History: Howard lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help.

Voice: High pitched and raspy

Description: He is lean but muscular and likes to wear black tank tops with white pants. His white hair is lengthy. He is baby faced.

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: He got into the Dyer business at a young age. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and wants to open a new tavern

Voice: Mumbles to self between sentences

Description: What flesh remains visible is marred by burns. He wears well tailored suits and hats with beautiful decoration. He is almost always dressed for an outing in high society. He wears his red fur down. This yellow eyed southerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved; and he has money and likes to spend it

Voice: Laughs frequently while speaking

Description: This man is tall and muscular. He wears dull grey sweaters, loose black pants, and alligator leather shoes. Beneath his sweater he keeps a concealed falchion, just in case. His hair is short and dark red. He wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and to share knowledge with the world
