His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Varis is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was born at the edge of vast mountains. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered singing. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: His martial talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Gnomish activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Gnomish doctor. He tends to his Cartwright job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
