History: Geoffrey hails from a village terrorized by drow. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by drow. Geoffrey was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the drow.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents were killed by brigands in a raid when he was still a young child. The brigands captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
