History: Born to a Crown-heir, his mother struggled to pay the bills. Through the years after Jak was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Jak's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Carter for hire.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it

Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: Born in the west to a Sellsword, Rathkran learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
