He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying north to reunite his family. He has worked as a Baker like his mother before him.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Barrister responsibilities is difficult; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Through the years after Miles was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Miles's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
