Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Balam isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Tiefling unity. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Balam was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Tiefling companion (his 'brother'). He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.
