Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Mantus was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Through the years after Mantus was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Mantus's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He moved out east to avoid the crime he committed. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and he has decided he is irredeemable

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and wants to raise his children well
