Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his poetry with anyone who is interested.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Brewer they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Dyer, and he later adopted a second son.

Personality: Howard hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. He is seen as merciless and passionate.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Howard grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Howard. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day
