Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Varis is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: His divine talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: This man loves writing and to teach people writing more than just about anything. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Personality: Thoradin is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He is able to make almost anything out of random pieces of junk.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His first spouse was a Carter, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature longsword.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and wants to raise his children well
