Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Anselm fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: Gargax speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.
