Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Aust embodies much of what other species detest in the Elves. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. In his 14th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against dire rats.

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He receives visions of the future at random moments

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and his religion dominates his actions

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has never given up on his dancing dream.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and he has decided he is irredeemable

Personality: He is a man who does what he needs to. He will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Mord lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions.
