Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Gnomes in Erky's homeland. Erky decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: A child with a great deal of painting talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right.
