He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He found a children's book about a Halfling Ranger who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Mason. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
