History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He tends to his Slave Trader job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Description: With black face paint in a stripe pattern across his face, he wears red leather gloves, a red jacket, and tight pants. He sports a long white beard, and similarly colored long hair. His face is scarred and worn.

Personality: He goes out his way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one he won't accept into his heart. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Heian was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Commoner, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Commoner in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Description: He wears a pastel costume with the symbols of the four houses of cards on his torso, but does not cut a very imposing figure. He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 5'4" when asserting himself. His blonde hair is drawn into a tight pony tail with a card scrunchie. His gray eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. Fivin is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Fivin lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He became a Sailor soon after.

Motivation: He would like to get married and retire; and an old rival family wants him found

Description: Dark and lean, he is a relatively plain man. He wears a blue coat over a grey low-cut shirt, and a feathered hat upon his head. His black hair is drawn into a tight pony tail with a card scrunchie. His eyes are likewise black.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. Being a Scribe kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it
