History: The child of a Fortune-teller, who enjoyed hunting, Smoking was taken on many hunting expeditions. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He was granted divine powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
