Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. The war was a terrible time for him, and Vassago does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. Some 7 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Vassago never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the west; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers
