Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: Born to a Cartwright, his mother struggled to pay the bills. He found a children's book about a Dragonborn Ranger who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Dragonborn artifacts is his passion.

He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Through the years after Shadow was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Shadow's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Shadow and his spouse have recently divorced.
