Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: A child with a great deal of dancing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. Through the years after Emerald was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Emerald's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Emerald and his spouse have recently divorced.

He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He's also a talented Map Maker, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers; and to be a map maker again
