Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. After a long history of fighting, Nim and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He goes out his way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one he won't accept into his heart. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Theren was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Vlorn was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Fletcher for the past few years.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and to be a tanner again

Description: An older man who wears a robe, a symbol of luck around his neck, and a sword on his belt, he is not a threatening figure. His blonde hair is singed and shortened. His eyes are amber and beady.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Through the years after Arnold was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Arnold's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and his religion dominates his actions
