History: Arannis lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Description: His left thumb is blackened and bruised, but otherwise he appears quite healthy. He is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time. His hair is silver and curly. He tend to wears goggles to shield his eyes.

Personality: He hates Elves with a passion. As such he is filled with self loathing. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.

History: He was born in a small mountains village. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the mountains to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Hadarai took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up bastard sword and armor he uses now. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Hadarai was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Halflings.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Halfling activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Halfling doctor. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and a strong sense of loyalty to halfling people

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
