History: River hails from a village terrorized by orcs. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. River was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the orcs.

He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.
