History: He comes from a rich western family. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He is greedy; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying brother.
