History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He found a children's book about a Half-Elf Warrior who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and wishes to resurrect an old love
