History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Baern alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He guards a vault combo very seriously as well as the key needed to open it.

During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. History: Tarak lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered east to less war torn lands. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
