History: Flak was raised in a hard working conservative environment. A gifted student he started as a Tailor, but he got bored and became a Soapmaker. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the east. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Oskar alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
