History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Rael was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
