History: Emerald hails from a village terrorized by giants. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and obtaining odd cultural halfling artifacts is his passion

Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
