History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Halander alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He works hard and plays hard.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Cook arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
