History: He was born in the south. Frederick was born on a far southern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Carpenter. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and obtaining odd cultural human artifacts is his passion

This search led him directly into Fortune-teller work with an outfit from a few towns over. Fortune-teller work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has achieved small success as a Fortune-teller.
