He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Half-Elven companion (his 'brother'). He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature lance.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Through the years after Vonbin was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Vonbin's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
