The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

History: Manfred was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Druid, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Druid in service of a powerful lord somewhere. After coming to the age of reason, Manfred took it upon himself to study the psionic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland.
