History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His parents enrolled him in a Commoner school at a young age so that he could practice his necromantic talents. He has worked as a Ploughman like his mother before him.

Description: This malnourished man wears tight fitting clothing which further accentuates his frame. He wears a small hat to hide his balding. He wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into his face.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Raer embodies much of what other species detest in the Half-Elves. He is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. When Raer reached his early adolescence his Half-Elf mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is a great chef.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Bhevek grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He found a children's book about a Halfling Monk who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away.

Description: An older man who dresses like a well dressed Sage does, he is not a threatening figure. His auburn hair is long and unkept. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: Born in the south his family was never financially stable. Like his father and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Sage. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 10 years.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and balancing his hectic life and new sage responsibilities is difficult
