History: Jocelyn hails from a village terrorized by brigands. He always admired necromantic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Zephan was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
