When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Personality: Calm and collected, he is a well trained Dilettante. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. A gifted student he started as a Cook, but he got bored and became a Dilettante. He's also a talented Cook, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Expand his business; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: Varis was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Through the years after Varis was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Varis's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg.
