History: He comes from a rich eastern family. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it; and many goblins want him driven away

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. The war was a terrible time for him, and Manfred does not often speak of it.
