History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Nelkin was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. After a long history of fighting, Mugrunden and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.

Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
