History: Watson was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Ranger, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Ranger in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Halflings in Kelter's homeland. Kelter decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 2 years.

Through the years after Smoking was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Smoking's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
